Our Story

In the heart of Parma, nestled between the streets and the glow of lantern light, stands the Tradesmen Tavern. A place of warmth and camaraderie, the tavern was a haven for the weary, the curious, and those in search of a good meal and an even better drink.

The owner, a man with a big heart as big as his ideas, was known to all simply as David. He wanted to create a space that felt like home, not just to him, but to anyone who walked through the tavern's heavy wooden doors.

It was here that David Martina would often be found, sharing stories with his patrons, offering recommendations, or simply lending an ear.

It became a melting pot of individuals from all walks of life. Tradesmen and artisans, scholars and adventurers, all found common ground within its walls. The tavern's reputation for fostering connections was as well-known as its food and drink. It was not uncommon to see unlikely friendships formed over a shared meal, or business deals struck over a pint.

The Tradesmen Tavern was more than just a place to eat and drink; it was a community hub, a place where people came together to share in the simple pleasures of good food, good drink, and good company. David had succeeded in creating a space that felt like home to all who entered, a testament to his belief that the greatest joy in life was found in the connections we make with one another.

And so, the Tradesmen Tavern thrived, a beacon of hospitality and warmth in the small city, a reminder of the simple pleasures that bind us all.

After the loss of our brother, David’s sister, Nancy knew nothing would be close to the same again.

With many prayers, thoughts and so much support she decided to re-open. A long time friend of David's, Mark Diamond, joined her on this journey. Not to mention David pushing her along the way “Time to re-open already & enjoy!”

So, in honor of David’s memory, for David’s son Mason and the community of friends… May we always call the Tradesman Tavern “Our home” and gather together to share our lives.

Salute!
